  • Major achievements: Chosun is the largest and most influential newspaper company in South Korea with over 90 years of history. Since October 2013, I have written several articles regarding various issues (e.g. culture, politics, society, et.c) in United Kingdom and English language education here in Korea.

  • Journal aims and scope: Monthly Chosun is the largest and most influential politics and news magazine in South Korea with a circulation of 250,000~300,000 every month. Since November 2002, I have written a number of articles on current affairs including politics, economics, education, science and engineering issues in the United Kingdom.

  • Journal aims and scope: Skyventure is the largest and unique venture intelligence portal in South Korea. It provides multiple platforms to meet business angels, corporate venturers and seed venture capitalists. SK Telecom (Korea’s number one mobile communications service provider, with over 21 million subscribers) supports Skyventure and I write reports on the state-of-art in IT, science, engineering, technology and management in the UK.

  • Major achievements: IT Services provides the essential resource and support necessary to give all members of the University access to information technology for research, teaching, learning and administration purposes. I worked on a project to create a cohesive system of monitoring and analysing the performance of the server activity across campus.
  • Bookham Technology & Warwick Manufacturing Group (University of Warwick), UK

  • Major achievements (Consulting): Bookham is a cutting-edge high tech company that was the first to commercially manufacture integrated components, based on silicon, that generate, detect, route, and control light signals in fibre-optic communication network. In order to help managers understand and deal with manufacturing complexity, I undertook a case study with Bookham to create a strategic framework that would allow managers to identify the sources of manufacturing complexity and determine ways in which to avoid, reduce, and manage this.
  • Major achievements (MSc Project Supervisor)
    • Project I: Business Process Monitoring at Bookham Technlogy ~ A one year project to identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and a means of implementing them had taken place. This project was to determine which KPIs are key to running the business and then to integrate them into an integrated automated system.
    • Project II: Improvement of Customer Response Time at Bookham Technology ~ When a customer enquiry is received for a Monolithic Microwaveable Integrated Circuit (MMIC), the enquiry is answered by looking in catalogues for a chip with the same or similar performance. This project provided a recommendation for a system to data search against key parameters at the touch of a few keys.
